Conference and Cactuses

Last month my wife and I attended a great church leadership conference put on by Vintage Mission, and Lord willing, we plan to make this conference a tradition for the foreseeable future. The sessions were refreshing, but most of all, we enjoyed the extended time with our other Soteria team members. Even though we work together week in and week out, there is an unquantifiable but very evident benefit in spending some extended time away from the daily grind. It reminds me just how fortunate we are to have a staff that loves Jesus and desires to serve the church well.

After the conference, we decided to take advantage of being in Arizona in February and stayed a couple of days for some hiking, swimming, and eating, which we did, on repeat, for those two days. We immensely enjoyed exploring God’s creation and attempted to capture some of that beauty. We were able to explore Siphon Draw Canyon in the Superstition Mountains & then hiked to the top of Piestewa Peak (formerly Squaw Peak). If you haven’t had the opportunity, both hikes are worth it. Along the way, we were able to snag some fun pics that you can see here.

Senior Pics...Sessions Two & Three
cloewinter (18 of 21).jpg

Taking Cloe’s senior pictures has been a photography highlight for me. The new pictures are from our second and third sessions. The big distinction between sessions two and three was distance, well, and weather. We drove about 1,600 miles to the shore of Lake Tahoe for a warm sunny session and walked about 1,600 feet for a snowy cold Iowa session. You can see the uncropped pic here.
