Patagonia Hiking Trip - Day Three
torres (31 of 32).jpg

The third day of hiking was an absolutely perfect day. I was completely recovered from the stomach flu and ready to hike. The temp was in the sixties and sunny. It was windy, but that is everyday in the Patagonia.  We hiked the day with some new-found friends from Mexico, France, and Spain. There were lots of languages flying around so I felt pretty much in the dark. However, most of them spoke some  english and my brother speaks spanish well.

We were able to drop our packs for some of the hike take in the view of the avalanche pictured above. It was an incredible experience, one I won't soon forget.

Patagonia Hiking Trip - Day Two

This, the sunrise picture above, was the only time we saw the sun on day two of our hike. I had been sick with the stomach flu the night before and was really not feeling well at all, but at the same time I really wanted to catch the sunrise. So I dragged myself out of the tent just before sunrise and snagged my camera. I was glad I did because the rest of the day it rained, and rained, and rained. It was rainy, windy, cold, and I was still fairly weak from the night before which made for  a pretty crappy day. However, it made for some good memories and it was the only day that was less than ideal. It was a good reminder that every situation that we have been placed into is ordained by God. He gives "good" days and he gives "bad" days. Blessed Be the Name of the Lord.
